An historic trip

On Sept. 29, students from the Charleston Middle School's Leadership Academy toured the LST 325 Memorial. On Oct. 3, second, third and fourth year Charleston High School JROTC cadets toured the LST, which was docked at Cape Girardeau's riverfront. The LST Memorial 325 is an historic ship that participated in landings at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944, and was in constant operation since 1943.
