Two earn scholarships

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Two students were awarded scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2017-2018 academic year:

Jacob Smith of Charleston has received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. Smith is the son of Steven and Misty Smith of Charleston and will be a 2017 graduate of Charleston High School.

Gabrielle Wicker of East Prairie has received the Regents' Scholarship. Wicker is the daughter of Doyle and Angie Wicker of East Prairie, Missouri, and will be a 2017 graduate of East Prairie High School.
