Ensor, Thornton are named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for October

SIKESTON -- Sarah Camille Thornton and Annie Ensor were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for October.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2017-2018 school year.

Thornton is the daughter of Fred Thornton III and Nanette Thornton. She is active in Red Peppers, Speech and Debate, Drama Club, Key Club, DECA, Student Council, 30+ Club and the National Honor Society. She also has been a Girl Scout for 13 years and has composted both her Bronze and Silver Awards. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, reading and helping with Sikeston Little Theatre productions.

Ensor, who is the daughter of Melissa and Paul Ensor, is the Red Pepper treasurer, Junior Optimist reporter, Student Council representative and a member of DECA, FBLA, NHS, varsity volleyball and varsity soccer. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, playing tennis, watching Netflix and eating ice cream.
