SIKESTON -- Pauline Parr Heckert, 87, of Sikeston, died Sept. 1, 2016, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born July 22, 1929, in Wyatt, to the late Arthur and Sue Ann Murphy Parr, she was a homemaker and member of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston. She had previously been a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bertrand, where she and her husband lived for many years, First Assembly of God Church and Calvary Assembly in Sikeston. During her lifetime she was a member of various women's groups, including Women's Aglow, Mary Martha Women's Group and the Missouri Extension Club of Dogwood.

On Aug. 31, 1946, she married F. Edward Heckert, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2001.

Survivors include: two sons, Jack E. Heckert of Cape Girardeau and Joey Frank Heckert of Sikeston; one daughter, Jill Ann Heckert of Orlando, Fla.; and three sisters, Pat Wise of Sikeston, Betty J. McKinley of Bertrand and Nancy Hurst of Sikeston. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jennifer Huber of Valparaiso, Ind., and Shelby Heckert of Sikeston; and three great-grandchildren, Hollie Huber, Hunter Huber and Hayden Huber, all of Valparaiso.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis Parr, George Parr and Charles "Buddy" Parr; and two sisters, Ann Dykes and Peggy Bearden.

A gathering for family and friends is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at the Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston. A memorial celebration of her life will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Len Meyers, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church, officiating.
