SIKESTON -- Mable Edwards, 81, died Sept. 24, 2016, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born April 20, 1935, in East Prairie, to the late Guy and Birdie Sterling, she was a member of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston for the past five years.
On June 15, 1975, in Vanduser, she married James "Cowboy" Edwards, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Doyle Dewayne Edwards of Cape Girardeau; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Monda Christy and Loriann and Jimmy Wimberley of Sikeston, Janie and Bob Owens of Jackson, and Karen Kay Scott of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Claude Sterling of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Katheryn Nations of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Sterling, Lloyd Sterling and Donnie Sterling; and two sisters, Betty Kestner and Dorris Owens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel . The Rev. Ann Brock will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
