Joan Sain

SIKESTON -- Joan Sain, 73, died Aug. 17, 2017, at her home in Sikeston.

Born July 22, 1944, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Norma Kelkamp.

On June 17, 1962, in Sikeston, she married Verlon "Smiley" Sain, who preceded her in death on April 13, 1994.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Norma "Mickey" Sain and one brother, John Klekamp.

Survivors include: two sons, Shawn Sain and Trevor Sain of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Scott Hedge of New Burg; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray lane Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories cemetery in Sikeston.
