RISCO, Mo. -- Jerry Arlon Edwards, 74, died Aug. 17, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 23, 1943, in New Madrid, son of the late Lester Edwards and Clora Lomax Edwards, he was a water and sewer commissioner and street commissioner, trustee and member of Pleasant View General Baptist Church in Risco.
On Aug. 11, 1962, in St. Louis, he married Laveda Darlene Bridges, who survives of Malden.
Other survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Kelly and Tim Schaefer of Scott City and Michelle Edwards of Risco; one brother, Earl Edwards of Barnhart; one sister, Joyce Joyce of Risco; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant View General Baptist Church in Risco, where services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. Mark Powell, Mark McDowell and James Hamlett will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of arrangements.
