'Bud' Stout Jr.

MOREHOUSE, Mo. - Allyn McClelland "Bud" Stout Jr., 83, died Aug.22, 2017, at the Missouri State Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 26, 1934, in St. Louis, son of the late Allyn McClelland Stout Sr. and Elsie Jensen Stout, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a self-employed barber for 54 years. He attended the Crossroads of Hope Community Baptist Church.

On Aug 29, 1951, he married Dorothy Scott Stout who preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2008.

Survivors include: one daughter, Leasa Shaver of Morehouse; two grandsons, Brian Shaver of Jackson, Mo., and Derrick Shaver of Fayetteville, Ark.; and one great-grandson, Aidan Shaver.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Scott Allyn Stout and Kevin Stout; and two sisters, Ellen Jinzo and Marjorie Dunham.

Visitation is from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Rodney Davis, pastor of Crossroads of Hope Community Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
