PUXICO, Mo. -- Lois Francis Caldwell, 89, died Aug. 23, 2017, at her home near Puxico.

Born Dec. 8, 1927, in Puxico, daughter of the late Lestie and Minnie Mossman O'Neal, she had lived in Puxico all her life. She was a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico, the CC Community Club and treasurer of the Rock Hill Cemetery for several years.

On Jan. 10, 1948, she married Delmar Loran Caldwell, who preceded her in

death on Jan. 17, 1983.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Connie Caldwell and Loran and Carol Caldwell all of Puxico and Jerry and Debbie Caldwell of Dexter; two brothers, Gene O'Neal and Russell O'Neal of Puxico; and two sisters, Helen McCullar of Puxico and Loreda Jansen of Dexter; one daughter in law, Virginia Caldwell of Jefferson City; and nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Caldwell; one son, Dale Caldwell; one brother, Freeman L. O'Neal; three sisters, Fernie Julius, Shirley Bolin and Virginia Spears; and one grandson.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico with the Rev. Jimmy Clark of Puxico officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
