James Anderson Sr.
ST. PETERS, Mo. -- James W. Anderson Sr., 84, died Sept. 8, 2017, at his home in St. Peters.
Born Oct. 7, 1932, in Beach Corenr, son of the late James Floyd and Mary Jane Rickman Anderson, he had lived in the Bloomfield area most of his life and moved to St. Peters 12 years ago. He attended the New Beginnings Church in St. Peters and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On Nov. 2, 1951, in Pigott, Ark., he married Nola May Jones, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one sister, Sharon Anderson of Hartford, Mich.; three grandchildren, Richard Dale of St. Peters, Jennifer Lynn Jones of O'Fallon, Rachel Michelle Charron of Springfield; and 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by his son, James W. Anderson Jr.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Ken Long of St. Peters and Rev. Dale Presley of Dexter officiating.
Burial will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
