Denny Boner Sr.

SIKESTON -- Denson Lee "Denny" Boner Sr., 77, died Sept. 17, 2017, at his home in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 24, 1939, in Malden, son of the late William Borden and Mildred Margaret Dock Boner, he was a member of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and Reserve U.S. Navy Seabee and served during the Vietnam War. A member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, he was a life member of the Navy Seabee of American and American Military Society.

On Sept. 9, 1963, in Tallapoosa, he married Mary Ruth Bolton, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Denson Lee and Mary Boner Jr. of Chaffee and Martin Brian and Janet Boner of Sikeston; one brother, Clifford Boner of Bloomfield; and six grandchildren, Alexander Boner, Collin Boner, Lucas Boner, Claire Boner and John Martin Boner.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. Mike Wondel will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
