100th anniversary marked

LaDonna DeKriek with the King's Highway Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, places a wreath at the El Camino Real marker on Kingshighway in Sikeston Friday afternoon. Local DAR members joined with state and national DAR officers and local officials in marking the 100th anniversary of the markers. Ceremonies also took place Friday at markers at Kimmswick, Ste. Genevieve, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, Scott City, Benton, New Madrid and Caruthersville.
