Scott City man killed in crash

MILLERSVILLE, Mo. -- A Scott County man was killed in a three-vehicle crash Saturday in Cape Girardeau County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 4 p.m. on Missouri Highway 72, three miles west of Millersville, as the eastbound motorcycle driven by Shannon W. Dailey, 34, of Scott City crossed the centerline and struck the westbound vehicle driven by Cory A. Esselman, 30, of Altenburg. Dailey was ejected from the motorcycle and then struck by the westbound vehicle driven by Brandi E. Adams, 41, of Fredericktown.

Dailey was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:51 p.m. by Cape Girardeau County coroner John Clifton and transported to the Cape County morgue.
