Alene McConnell
SIKESTON — Alene Elizabeth McConnell, 89, died April 29, 2018, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan.y 16, 1929, in Sikeston, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Bertha Linscomb Craig.
On Feb. 5, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married L. C. McConnell, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Margaret and Tom Robey of Jackson and Marsha McConnell of Sikeston; and two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at noon Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Johnie Sliger, pastor of Illinois Avenue Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
