SIKESTON — Ray Wilson, age 75, a resident of Sikeston, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Born June 3, 1942, in New Madrid, to the late Thurston and Cynthia (Wilkerson) Wilson, he was the owner of Affordable Auto Sales, an active member of Chapel By The Lake Church and Family Traditions Car Club.
Ray was a family man that would do anything for anyone. He loved his wife, Brenda Wilson, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and sons-in-law.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Clark) Wilson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Nick Simmons and Tina and Terry Lowe; Steve Clark whom he loved like a son; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda and Heather Simmons and Corey Lowe; seven great-grandchildren, Landon, Belt, Conner, Harlee and Rylan Simmons, Lexi, Rayce and Ryder Lowe; many nieces and nephews; and one brother, Billy Jo Wilson of Florida.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James, Paul, Elmo and Arnold Wilson; and one grandson, Tyler Lowe.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 25 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Nick Simmons, pastor of Chapel By The Lake Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Terry Lowe, Nick Simmons, Deric Clark, Greg Clark, Charlie Lutes and Lonnie Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jaden Clark and Scott Moore.
