Barnwell named to Alumni Board of Governors

   Murray State Graduate Ralph Barnwell of New Madrid, Mo., was recently appointed to the Governors Alumni Board for Murray State University. He was appointed to fill an unexpired term until 2020.  

The Alumni board oversees all the Alumni activities for the University and works in cooperation with the Board of Regents and the Foundation Board to try and improve all aspects of student life at Murray State.  

“I look forward to working with this board and to also be able to recruit students to attend Murray State,” said Barnwell. He is a 1970 graduate with a degree in education and elementary administration. He retired from New Madrid County R-1 school district with 30 years service and has served on the R-1 school board since 2001.
