CHARLESTON, Mo. — Shirley Ann Owens, 67, died Nov. 30, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 12, 1950, in St. Mary, Penn., daughter of the late Francis “Butch” and Audrey C. Dinsmore Bauer, she lived in St. Mary until 1973 when she moved to Charleston where she had worked as a bartender at the V.F. W. Post 4294 and then as a cashier at Boomland, Pilot Flying J Travel Center and Flag Stop.
On June 16, 1973, she married Edward E. Owens Jr. who survives of Charleston.
Other survivors include: two sons, Edward E. “Butch” (Nikki) Owens III of Webb City and J.B. (Suanne) Owens of East Prairie; one brother, Todd Bauer of St. Mary; one sister, Stacie Olewnik of St. Mary; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home where services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Chad Bles, pastor of Terra Nova Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be former CHS basketball players, Vinny Biles, Doc Turner, Nick Pratt, Rashad Oliver, Rico Coleman and Andrew Fennell.
