CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Betty Sue True Forrest, 85, died Jan. 15, 2019, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 26, 1933, in Charleston, daughter of the late Harry and Erma Cagle Brewer, she had attended Murray Lane Baptist Church while living in Sikeston and Shawnee Hill Baptist Church after moving to Jackson. She had been a nurse at Southeast Hospital, The Lutheran Home and Miner Nursing Center.
She was first married to the Rev. Lee True in Osceola, Ark., on June 21, 1950. Later on Feb. 14, 1999, in Sikeston, she married Albrie Dale Forrest, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2005.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry True of Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Dale and Faith True of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Leah Kay Kestner-True of Groverland, Fla.; one sister, Katherine Donaldson Denning of Jackson; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Harriet Sue True, Susan Renee True and Sherry Lee True; and one sister, Dorothy Ledbetter.
Graveside services will be at noon Friday in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Dewayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church officiating.
