Roy Cowsert

PARIS, Tenn. — Roy Eugene Cowsert, 77, died Feb. 10, 2019, at Henry County Medical Center.

Born Feb. 19, 1941, in Matthews, Mo., son of the late Delmar Lee Cowsert and the late Claudia Maxine Bohanan Cowsert, he retired after 10 years from Dana Corp. as a machinist and line operator. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

On Feb. 22 ,1974, he married his late wife, Frances Jean Cowsert.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Kenneth Morgan and Patricia and Scott Kunath of Paris; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Vince and Cathy Floyed of South Roxana, Ill., and Kelly Floyed of Alton, Ill.; one sister, Teresa Fuhr Hatfield of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Jim Fuhr of Kansas City, Mo.; and 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris. His body is to be cremated.

A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 24 at Christ Lutheran Church with Luther Hasz officiating.
