CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Ivalu Davis, 84, died Feb. 17, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 21, 1934, in West Salem, Ill., daughter of the late Pete and Pearl Bradham Ellis, she was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston and worked for the Sikeston Public School system for many years

On Nov. 9, 1983, in Bloomfield, she married John Davis Jr. who preceded her in death on March 3, 2015.

Survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Kimberly Davis of Central City, Ky., Jim and Carol Dow of Sikeston, Robert Dow of Manito, Ill., and Marion Dow of Sikeston; two daughters, Jennie Dow of Manito and Sue Ann Dow of Sikeston; and over 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two other husbands, F.M. "Jim" Dow and Frank McTaggert; two daughters, Mary Lou Prosise and Linda Landreth; three brothers, Eugene Ellis, Floyd Ellis and Donald Ellis; and one sister, Bernice Ellis.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 am. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Joe McCullough officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
