PUXICO, Mo. — Neal Holloway, 94, died Feb. 27, 2019, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born July 30, 1924, in Fagan, son of the late Walter Harrison and Edith Hazel Keith Holloway, he and his wife lived in Puxico and owned and operated Holloway Lumber and Holloway Lime for many years. He also was a truck driver for Valley Steel and attended the First Baptist Church in Puxico. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a 20-year member of the Lions Club and 60 year-member of the Puxico Masonic Lodge.
On June 27, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Jean Cookson, an she preceded
him in death on Aug. 24, 2009.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Ginger Holloway, Danny and Patty Holloway and David and Pat Holloway of Puxico; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bill McClure of Puxico; eight grandchildren and nine
He was preceded in death by one sister, Bessie Buttry; two brothers, Russell Lynn Holloway and Walter Hoover Holloway.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Masonic services will also be held.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico officiating.
Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery at Puxico.
