School District Recipe Contest Winner Announced

Recently, the 2019 Opaa! Food Management District held a Recipe Contest

at the Portageville School District on February 22, 2019. Portageville Director of Nutrition Services, Brittany Gunn, of Opaa! Food Management Company declared Kasey

Blagburn the district winner for this year's contest after a panel of judges tasted and scored each of the submitted entries. Blagburn and her winning recipe of Fajita Chicken

Kabobs will progress to the Opaa!'s Regional competition in March.

This year's annual contest is co-sponsored by Tyson and JTM Foods. In order to qualify, participants had to meet certain criteria for recipe submission. All recipes had to include at least one of three specified ingredients. The contest was open to all food service employees from all the school districts operated by Opaa! The Opaal Recipe Contest Finals are slated to take place in the Neosho. Missouri School

District in April.
