MALDEN, Mo. — Dorthy Moore, 80, died Feb. 28, 2019, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.
Born Oct. 3, 1938, in Ozan, Ark., daughter of the late Gomile Nelson and Viola Johnson Nelson, she had been a resident of Malden for many years. She was a member of Mount Cavalry Powerhouse in Poplar Bluff.
On Sept. 7, 1957, she married Matthew Moore, and he preceded her in death
on Feb. 25, 2008.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dobbie Herrion of Sikeston and Brenda and Clifford Hawkins of Matteson, Ill.; one son, Larry Moore of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Lou Maggie Ayers of Malden; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Macedonia Cemetery at Malden with Rev. Ronnie Webb of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Burial will follow with the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of arrangements.
