PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — Margie DeRousse Simmons, 83, died March 9, 2019, at Portageville.
Born Sept. 8, 1935, in Portageville, daughter of the late Thelma Ethel Pigg Yarbro DeRousse and Ollie DeRousse, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville.
Survivors include: three sons, Michael Simmons, Floyd (Debbie) Simmons and Chris Simmons of Portageville; four daughters, Anita (Rick) Smith of Hayti, Kim (Robert) Reynolds and Mary (Kevin) Miller of Portageville and Kay (Hoss) Watkins of Wardell; two sisters, Margaret Phillips and Mary Ada Daughtery of Portageville; two brothers, George DeRousse of Boonville, Miss., and James DeRousse of Portageville; and 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Douglas Simmons in 1990, James Terry Simmons in 2017 and Thomas Simmons in 2018; one daughter, Rene Simmons; and two brothers, Burnie DeRousse in 1961 and Wilburn DeRousse in 1995.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Tuesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville with the Rev. George DeRousse officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
