PONTIAC, Mich. — Glenda Joan Hess, 83, died March 11, 2019, at Heather Pines Assisted Living in Clarkston.
Born April 28, 1935, in Blodgett, daughter of the late Donald and Daisy Wagner Holder, she had been a bookkeeper with the Oakland County Government.
On July 17, 1954, in Aurora, Ill., she married Harold "Bud" Hess, and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, David Hess of Waterford and Jamie Hess of Metamora; one brother, Jerry (Kathy) Holder of Lapeer, Mich., and one sister, Betty Kairsey of Dexter, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Samantha (Jonathan) Stems, Nicole (Julian) Edgar, Travis Hess and Kyle Hess.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Coats Funeral Home in Waterford.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Blanchard Funereal Chapel in Sikeston, Mo., where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dewayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett, Mo.
