CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Lois Harriet Culver, 85, died May 21, 2019, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 22, 1934, in Rushville, Ill., daughter of the late Joseph D. Chockley and Lela Vanfossen Chockley, she was a former 30-year employee at K-Mart in Cape Girardeau until her retirement on Jan. 31. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee.
On March 28, 1954, she married Louis Harrison Culver, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2015.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael E. Culver (Tina) of Cape Girardeau and Brian Culver (Barbara) of Morehouse; two daughters, Sharon Adney (Walt) of Bonne Terreand Susan Harper (Bill) of Sikeston; one brother, Marvin Chockley of Lewiston, Ill.; one sister, Marjorie J. Chockley of Creve Core; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death one son, Joseph Culver; one daughter, Cathy Culver; and one brother, Josiah Chockley.
Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating.
