SIKESTON — June Freshour, age 85, passed away on June 15, 2019, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.
She was born June 9, 1934, in Matthews, Mo., to the late O.L. and Florence Caldwell Daugherty.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston for over 70 years. She owned and operated Family Reality as well as co-owned Freshour Cycle until her retirement in 2007.
On April 1, 1956, in Sikeston, she married Jerry Freshour, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2016.
Survivors include: one son, Jerry Freshour of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Tony Sloan of Sikeston; two grandchildren and their spouses, Clay and Heather Sloan of Arnold and Bethany and Chris Day of Sikeston; five great-grandchildren, Kyle Day, Lucy June Day, Lola Day, Nicholas Sloan and William Sloan.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Paul Lathum, a retired Methodist minister, officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Day, Kyle Day, Clay Sloan, Jerry Freshour, Tony Sloan and Paul Lathum.
