Operation Trident leaving mark on area

The Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation headquartered in Portageville is partnering with the Department of Defense for the Innovative Readiness Training which has set up a clinic at the Miner Baptist Church, 416 State Highway H at Sikeston. Running through Saturday, approximately 200 members of the U.S. military’s Army National Guard, Naval Reserves and active duty Navy to Sikeston as well as Cairo, Ill., and Ballard, Ky., to provide medical, dental and optical services to residents ages 2 and up at no cost. All of the clinics are open to anyone in need of medical care with no proof of insurance or identification required.
