Stone takes over as principal at Portageville Middle School
PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — While he has been seen by many on the girls basketball sidelines, BJ Stone will be more behind the desk this year as the new Portageville Middle School principal.
“One of my goals this school year is to build strong personal relationships with the student body and develop strong working bonds with the staff,” said Stone.
His expectations for the year include creating a positive and safe learning environment for the students, and attacking each day with enthusiasm. He has 12 years teaching experience and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and a Masters in Secondary Education.
Stone will be coaching Middle School girls basketball this year and his office is located in the high school building where the principal’s office used to be.
He and his wife Terri Taylor Stone have two children.
