Drug investigation in Sikeston leads to East Prairie man's arrest
SIKESTON — A drug investigation led the arrest of an East Prairie man Tuesday in Sikeston.
Christopher Gephart, 37, of East Prairie is charged through Scott County Circuit Court with first degree trafficking drugs and four counts of felony delivery of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid, according to online court records.
Lt. Jon Broom, public information officer with Sikeston Department of Public Safety,said detectives with DPS made an arrest Tuesday following a drug investigation in the 300 block of Hardin. Gephart was in possession of approximately three-fourths a pound of meth, 1.5 grams of heroin, Xanax pills, marijuana and the bottles of cough syrup referred to as “lean," Broom said.
Gephart is being held without bond until his court appearance, which was scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday before Judge Robert Zachary Horack.
