CHARLESTON, Mo. — In light of the coronavirus outbreak, Charleston’s largest annual event slated for next month will be rescheduled.

“It is with an abundance of concern and on medical advisement, the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and Tourism announces the rescheduling of all activities related to the 52nd Annual Dogwood-Azalea Festival,” said Karen Teeters, executive director of the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, on Saturday.

The festival, originally scheduled for April 16-19, will be rescheduled for later in 2020.

Teeters encouraged individuals to keep watch on the festival’s website: www.charlestonmo.org/festival for an announcement forthcoming with new dates.
