Structure fire under investigation in East Prairie
EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — A late Tuesday fire that damaged two families’ homes and endangered their lives is under investigation in East Prairie.
At approximately 10:45 pm Tuesday, the East Prairie Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Herring Street, according to East Prairie Fire Chief J. Maldonado.
“The structure was unoccupied and had no working utility. The structure had been previously burnt and the fire marshall was contacted,” Maldonado said in a post on the fire department’s Facebook page.
Due to the reckless actions of this person(s), two families’ homes were damaged and lives were put in jeopardy, the fire chief said.
