SIKESTON — Betty Dixon, 75, of Sikeston passed away May 12, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born Jan. 26, 1945, in Avert, Missouri, to the late Elsie Hasty and Fanny Fitzgerald Hasty.
On Sept. 26, 1964, at Garden Ridge General Baptist Church, she married Johnie Dixon, who survives of the home. She was a member of the Garden Ridge General Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Bryan Dixon of Morley, Missouri; one daughter, Kristi (Sam) Naji of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one sister, Marcella Brown of Bell City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Mikayla Pruitt of Greenville, South Carolina, and Cara Doggett of Amarillo, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Greyson Doggett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Roy, Carl, Bob, Donald, Ettel, Herb and Harold Hasty; and two sisters, Beaulah Morris and Rhoda Tidwell.
Family visitation will be held Monday May 18, 2020, at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Public graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Fox, pastor of Garden Ridge General Baptist Church, will officiate.
