Peggy Busby
MATTHEWS, Mo. — Peggy Busby, 78, died June 7, 2020, Cottonpoint Living Center in Matthews.
Born Nov. 13, 1941, daughter of the late Cecil “Pete” and Margaret Busby, she was originally from East Prairie, Missouri, and had lived in Sikeston for 30 years. She was a member of the Henry Meldrum American Legion Auxiliary and had worked as a hair dresser in Sikeston for many years before retiring.
Survivors include: one sister, Virgie L. Thomure of East Prairie; and one grandson and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Johnie Charles Scott; and three brothers, Louis Busby, Ronnie Busby and Paul Busby.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to service time at 2 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Gavin Eftink, Trevor Eftink, Brad Eftink, and Dustin Hall.
