Scott County with five new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday, nine more recoveries

There were 208 new positive COVID-19 cases and 27 new deaths reported in Missouri on Wednesday, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

To date, there has been 16,625 positive cases and 909 deaths.

The Scott County Health Department reported five new cases on Wednesday along with nine more recoveries. Scott County currently has 145 positive cases with 35 active and 99 recovered. There have been 11 deaths.

Of the five new cases, one was under the age of 19, one was between the ages of 20-29, one between the ages of 50-59, one between the ages of 60-69 and one over the age of 80. Four of the cases were female.

The Stoddard County Public Health Center reported an increase in three cases, giving the county 120 positive cases with 37 active and 75 recovered. There have been eight deaths with seven coming from the outbreak at the Crowley Ridge Nursing Home.

Dunklin County saw an increase in five cases Wednesday. According to the Dunklin County Health Department Wednesday morning, there are 67 confirmed COVID-19 tests with 25 active and 39 recovered. There have been three deaths.

Mississippi County (76 positive cases), New Madrid County (34 positive cases and one death), Pemiscot County (104 positive cases with six deaths) and Cape Girardeau County (108 positive cases with three deaths) had not reported any new cases as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.
