Helping Hands Food Program available for local children
Anyone with a child between the ages of 0-18 can take part in the Helping Hands Food Program.
As part of the weekly food distribution, each child in the family will receive seven breakfasts, seven lunches and a gallon of milk. There are no forms to fill out and no questions asked. The child must be present to receive meals and each meal is prepped with specific serving sizes and must be served as such.
The meals are available on Mondays from 11-11:30 a.m. at New Morning Star Church, 615 State Highway U in Haywood City; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the William Street Pavilion, 840 William Street in Sikeston and from noon-12:30 p.m. at the Morley Baptist Church, 221 S. Stephenson St. in Morley.
Meals are also distributed on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the New Madrid Baptist Church, 1240 Scott Street in New Madrid and at the Sikeston First Assembly of God, 306 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston.
