Stephen Faringer
CAIRO, Ill. — Stephen Clifford “Stever” Faringer, 61, died July 13, 2020, at his home in Cairo.
Born Sept. 19, 1958, at San Diego, Calif., son of Glen Lyle Faringer and Patricia Lee Aiken Faringer of Kona, Hawaii, he grew up in the San Diego area and was a graduate of Grossmont College. He was employed as an electrician with the IBEW 569 of San Diego until his retirement. He then moved to Cairo, where he had lived the past 17 years and was a member of the Cairo Elks Lodge 651. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the V.F.W.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include: one son, Nick (Leah) Faringer of Sikeston; brother, Paul Faringer of Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister, Maryjo Dunkley of Cle-elum, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
Private services and burial with full military honors will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
