R-1 welcomes new teachers

Training began Monday, July 13, and continued through Wednesday, July 15, for new teachers in the New Madrid County R-1 School District. The new staff members practiced social distancing throughout the training to ensure their safety and the district is continuing to work on its plans for the opening of school, according to Dr. Sam Duncan, superintendent. According to Duncan, the district will release its initial opening plan on July 24.
