Shelby Perrien turns love of photography into business
BLODGETT, Mo. — When she was just a small child, a family member handed Shelby Perrien a camera and had her take pictures. The love for capturing that special moment stuck with Perrien and now she runs her own photography business, Perrien’s Photography.
“To be able to capture a special moment, whether it is a sunset or storms moving in or catching the personality of kids, the love between couples or a special day for someone is all special to me,” Perrien said. “I have captured special moments from all spectrums from births to different funeral pictures.”
After being in love with photography her whole life and taking pictures of nature or her own family, Perrien started taking newborn photos about 4 1/2 years ago, along with family photos, and her business has grown from there.
Perrien offers family pictures, sporting pictures, senior pictures, maternity and newborn pictures, engagement and wedding pictures and others at competitive prices.
Perrien has become known for taking colorful photos of children.
“I have always been told I’m good with kids,” Perrien said. “Being a mom, I have the patience.”
She also said she lets people be natural and do their own thing, capturing original moments that will last forever.
“After capturing special moments, I love seeing my customers happy and knowing every time they look at that picture, that captured image will always allow them to relive that memory,” Perrien said.

“I want everyone to know that I am passionate, price competitive and professional,” Perrien said. “I may not be the best, but I assure you I will always try my best to be.”
