City of Sikeston accepting boards and commission applications

SIKESTON — The City of Sikeston is currently accepting applications for the city’s boards and commissions.

There are currently 35 positions available on 15 different boards with some terms up for reappointment and others with expiring terms.

The city accepts Citizens Resource Bank Applications throughout the year but to be considered for this round of appointments, applications must be submitted to Sikeston City Clerk Rhonda Council at Sikeston City Hall or by email at rdcouncil@sikeston.org by 5 p.m. Aug. 14. The Sikeston City Council will make appointments to the boards and commissions during their September meeting.

To be eligible for appointment, taxpayers must have no outstanding municipal taxes, fees or fines. Anyone with questions can contact Council at 475-3701 or by email.
