SIKESTON — Edith Faye Grainger, 82, died Aug. 2, 2020, at her home near Sikeston.

Born Jan. 29, 1938, in Osceola, Arkansas, daughter of the late Arthur Edgar Ergle and Evis Savannah Horton Ergle, she had lived many years in the Matthews area.

On Dec. 10, 1981, she married Albert Leonard “Al” Grainger, who preceded her in death on June 18, 2017.

Survivors include: children, Pam (Rick) Willis of Palmersville, Tenn.; Richard L. Frohock of Sikeston, Tina (TJ) Gantner of Matthews, Mo., Denise Frohock of Benton; one sister, Juanita Ergle of Matthews; and 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Jenkins; and brothers and sisters, J.L., Lee, Ranso, Ed, Floster, Christine, Pauline, Ruby, Gertrude, Sharlotte and Imogene.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
