New Madrid County swears in new sheriff

Bud Cooper repeats the oath of office Monday, Aug. 24, as he is sworn in as New Madrid County's new sheriff. Cooper was appointed sheriff following the resignation of long-time sheriff Terry Stevens. Earlier this month, Cooper won the Republican primary for county sheriff and is unopposed in November's general election.
