John Thacker
PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — John Wesley Thacker, 74, died Aug. 28, 2020, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Missouri.
Born Aug. 13, 1946, in Woodland, Mississippi, son of the late Lourene Caldwell and James Kirk Thacker Sr., he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
On June 24, 1989, in Boekerton, Missouri, he married Linda Creasy, who survives of the home in Portageville.
Other survivors include: one daughter; Crystal (Rick) Hall of Caruthersville, Missouri; one son, Thomas Dewayne (Brandy) Creasy of Portageville; one brother, Wayne Thacker of Portageville; four sisters, Nancy Ellen Serigstad of Lake San Marcus, California, Linda Darnell and Gail Burton of Portageville and Dorothy Turner of Kennett, Missouri; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, LaQuita Gloth and Frances Ruth Thacker; and brothers, J. K. Thacker Jr. and William Brose Thacker.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Portageville Cemetery.
DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville is in charge of arrangements.
