Cultural update: Sikeston Little Theatre announces its 2020-2021 season

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

To kick off its 62nd season, Sikeston Little Theatre will open in October with AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LIVE, a not-so-serious murder mystery (twists, turns, surprises) by Sean Grennan. Coming to you in late February is a family favorite, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, by Rodgers & Hammerstein. SLT entertained you with it in 1965 and 1983. Remember those? Our children’s show, not part of the membership series, but always a hit, is in the spring. In late April the children will dazzle you with THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. Scheduled in late June, the last production of the season is a rock musical, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. You don’t want to miss it.

If you have never seen one of our productions, try to visit us this year. We are starting our membership drive and current members will be getting their letters in the mail very soon. You don’t have to be a member to see a show, but if you would like to become a member with the perks that go with it, go to www.sikestonlittletheatre.com.

An adult membership for 2020-2021 is $35 and a youth (grades K-12) membership is $15. Each membership entitles the holder first choice of seat locations. Members also receive a letter before each production that has information about the upcoming show and when tickets go on sale. A membership is good for one ticket for all shows except the children’s show. Individual tickets for anyone who wishes to attend are $15 at the door for all shows. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. All our productions are live, showcasing our local Southeast Missouri talent. Sikeston Little Theatre is located at 506 South Kingshighway.
