Endangered Silver Advisory alert issued for Steele man

STEELE, Mo. — An Endangered Silver Advisory has been issued for a Steele man missing last seen early Monday.

The Steele Police Department issued the advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 7 a.m. Monday at 324 Missouri St. in Steele.

Missing is Billy G. Quinn, age 72. He is described as 5-feet, 10-inches tall weighing 170 pounds and having gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing black leather jacket, button-down brown shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He also has a scar on his upper lip. He has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Quinn left Steele en route to Wardell, Missouri. He contacted his brother and advised he missed his exit and believed he was in Sikeston, Missouri. No contact has been made since.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Steele Police Department at (573) 333-4101.
