Three more deaths related to COVID-19 reported in Scott County

Three more Scott County deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday while two other deaths were reported in the area.

According to the Scott County Health Department, one person in their 70s and two in their 80s died, making 43 deaths in the county since March.

The health department reported 38 new cases Tuesday and 66 new cases on Wednesday along with 182 recoveries over the 48 span. Currently there are 768 active cases with 2,106 recovered.

The Stoddard County Public Health Center reported the 45th death in the county since March on Wednesday afternoon. There were 26 new cases reported Wednesday and to date there are 230 active cases in the county with 1,935 recoveries.

An additional death was also reported in Pemiscot County on Wednesday, the 23rd related to the virus. There are currently 72 active cases in the county with 14 hospitalizations. Over 1,180 have recovered.

The Cape Girardeau Public Health Center reported 37 new positive cases on Wednesday along with 59 additional cases that were resolved. Currently there are 1,379 active cases in Cape County while 4,420 have been resolved.

Thirty new cases were reported in Dunklin County along with 12 recoveries. To date, there are 98 active cases in the county while 2,118 have recovered. There has been 12 deaths.

Updated statistics were not available from the health departments in New Madrid and Mississippi County.

Statewide there have been 309,368 cases to date with 4,102 deaths. In the last week there has been 18,437 cases with 98 deaths.
