Joseph Wright III

PITTSBURG, TEXAS — Joseph Woodrow Wright III, 48, of Pittsburg, Texas, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away, Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at the Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas.

He was born April 23, 1972, to the late Glen Alan Stovall and Geri Sullivan who survives of Pittsburg.

He had been employed as a bartender at Chili’s in Mount Pleasant, Texas before he had to retire. He was an avid sports fan and a major fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and University of Memphis Tigers.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Dylan Wright of Batesville, Mississippi; two daughters, Morgan Wright of Batesville and Taylor Wright-Reynolds of Arlington, Tennessee; one sister, Shea Nicole Evans of Bartlett, Tennessee; his grandmother, Lorene McConnaughhey of Vilonia, Arkansas; his uncle, Ben McConnaughhey of Gladewater, Texas; a special niece, Kaitlyn Evans; and a very special cousin, Royston Wilson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri, with Rev. Andy Payne of the Longview Pentecostal Church, Longview, Texas, officiating.

Interment will follow immediately at the Old Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri.
