Preschool screenings approaching

Sikeston Kindergarten and Early Child Education Center’s annual birth to 4 years old screening will be Feb. 23-26 at the First United Methodist Church. This is a free screening for all children ages birth to 4 years old who live in the Sikeston R-6 school district. Children will have health, hearing, speech and developmental areas checked. A counselor will go over the results with the parents. This screening will help parents see how their child is progressing on their developmental milestones. Students who will be 4 years old by July 31 will have a chance to get in our preschool for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents must bring their children’s immunization records to the screening. Screenings will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 23 and 25; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 24; and 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 26. Call 471-0653 to make an appointment.
