Lowe named FFA Area 15 Star in Placement

SEDALIA, Mo. — The Missouri FFA Association recognized Noah Lowe of Sikeston FFA Chapter as the Area 15 Star in Placement at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention. His parents are Bart and Pam Lowe of Sikeston. His adviser is Morgan Coday.

Area Stars in Placement are selected based upon outstanding achievement in work experience in an agricultural business as a part of a student’s supervised agricultural experience program and active participation in FFA. Area 15 includes 22 chapters in the Southeast District.

MFA Inc., Columbia, sponsors the 16 area Star in Placement awards and the State Star in Placement Award.

Lowe’s SAE consists of working at Arby’s, Sikeston; Hawkins Lawn Care; Lambert’s Cafe, Sikeston; Kelpro Inc., Sikeston; and Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation, Sikeston. At Arby’s, he worked as a cook. For Hawkins Lawn Care, he helped mow and brush hog. While at Lambert’s Cafe, he cooked and served okra and potatoes. At Kelpro Inc., he welded and prepared smokers for painting. Lastly for DAEOC, he does maintenance at the Early Head Start Center and Greenhouse.

Lowe served as chapter sentinel and 1st vice president. He participated in poultry and dairy foods career development events, and FFA creed speaking leadership development event. Lowe was named Chapter Star Greenhand, and Outstanding Sophomore and Junior. He attended National FFA Convention & Expo.

In addition to FFA, Lowe participated in band. Outside of school, he is a member of the Miner Baptist Church Youth Group, and helps with church camp, vacation bible school and judgement house.

After graduating high school, Lowe’s plans include attending Missouri Welding Institute, Nevada, to study pipe and structural steel welding. Lowe said he plans to pursue a pipeline welding career.

The Missouri FFA has 25,662 members representing 351 chapters. The national organization has more than 760,000 members representing 8,739 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
