SIKESTON — Earl Theron Perkins, age 67, passed away on July 19, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born on May 6, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to the late Earl Loren and Mae Eaton Perkins.

On Sept. 9, 1987, in Poplar Bluff, he married Katherine “Kathy” Swift Perkins, who survives of the home in Sikeston.

He worked at Quantum Audio for 21 years before retiring in May 2021. He was a member at Life Church in Sikeston, where he played in the praise band. He has played music since the age of 16 and has many brothers and sisters with whom he shared his love of music.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jason (Jennifer) Keller of Dexter, Missouri, Shane (Mary) Perkins of Lake Stevens, Washington, and Justin (Lisa) Keller of Belleville, Illinois; one daughter, Ni’na (Eric) Payne of New Olmstead, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Perkins and Gary Perkins.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
